Improving Cultural Competence To Reduce Health Disparities: Comparative Effectiveness Review

Author(s): Minnesota Evidence-based Practice Center
Source: DHHS--Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality
Contributed by: AUCD Diversity and Inclusion Toolkit
Type: Training Material

This document is a literature review to examine existing system-, clinic-, provider-, and individual-level interventions to improve culturally appropriate health care for people with disabilities; lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) populations; and racial/ethnic minority populations. The study concludes that there is limited high quality evidence for what works, but addresses the issues to be addressed. While it is not specifically a training resource, the evidence cited (as of 2015) can be useful to those creating training activities and curricula for UCEDDs.
