Content Expert, Embedding Cultural Diversity and Cultural and Linguistic Competence: A Guide for UCEDD Curricula and Training


Dr. Huddleston has focused on increasing engagement and participation in research and increasing access to clinical care for individuals from underrepresented groups (i.e., African Americans, LGBT community) through a participatory community-based approach. She has served as principal investigator and consultant on community-based participatory research projects with ethnically and racially diverse communities across several states. Dr. Huddleston has presented on the topic of cultural diversity at state, national, and international conventions. Dr. Huddleston was a member of the second cohort of Georgetown University’s Leadership Academy in 2016. She serves as a Co-Consultant for this project and supports (1) the environmental scan, which includes a scoping review and the collection of data from UCEDD directors, as well as (2) the collection of stakeholder perspectives related to the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Action Plan.
