This report provides the results of 61 interviews conducted as part of a larger project designed to research, develop, and disseminate a set of resources on cultural diversity and cultural and linguistic competence (CLC) for the national network of University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDDs). The interviews were conducted as one component of the project with an overall goal of building the capacity of network programs to embed widely accepted CLC policies, structures, and practices across the four UCEDD core functions. These interviews are the first time that CLC efforts have been documented in such an extensive manner across a national university network. This report provides the methods and findings from the interviews, along with recommendations from the Embedding Project Team on network next steps, professional development, and consultation activities to support UCEDD Directors in their leadership roles to advance and sustain CLC and cultural diversity within their programs.
